We Are Now at DEFCON 2

 

We are under attack! Not by outside forces but by seditious forces within. Forces that would undermine and destroy the rights and freedoms granted to all people by the Creator and guaranteed to the American People by the Constitution of the United States.

The Rights to Free Speech, Religion, and Free Press are being torn apart by the Party. The conservative voice is being silenced by big tech relentless in their endeavor to change the Republic into a Socialist State. With social media banning President Donald J Trump, destroying the free speech platform of Parler, eliminating thousands of conservative voices on Facebook and Twitter, by demanding that all conservatives be removed from Congress, and businesses refusing to accommodate anyone supportive of President Trump, it is a clear and present danger to all Americans.

With the new administration’s blatant disregard to the will of the people by legislating through Executive Order, it is obvious that the Republic is under attack.

When Congress will ignore the will of the people by not investigating when blatant voter fraud is committed and then turn around and impeach a President that has left office, it is obvious that the Republic is under attack.

It is imperative that we, the People, make our voices heard in a way that our so-called representatives understand. I do not advocate violence. Just as President Trump stated in his speech, “Go to the Capitol and PEACEFULLY protest.” We have protested and Congress has ignored us. We have spoken out and addressed Congress about our grievances. They have ignored us. Is it time to come to arms? Not yet, brothers. Not yet. But to Battle Stations we must go.

Amendment 2 of the Constitution of the United States says:

A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.

The Declaration of Independence:

When in the Course of human events it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the political bands which have connected them to another and to assume among the powers of the earth, the separate and equal station to which the Laws of Nature and Nature’s God entitle them a decent respect to the op9inions of mankind requires that they should declare the causes which impel them to the separation.

We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. –That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, --That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness.

Prudence, indeed, will dictate that Governments long established should not be changed for light and transient causes; and accordingly all experience hath shewn that mankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed. But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security. –Such has been the patient sufferance of these Colonies; and such is now the necessity which constrains them to alter their former Systems of Government. The history of the present King of Great Britain is a history of repeated injuries and usurpations, all having in direct object the establishment of an absolute Tyranny over these States…

Let us be clear: we are not fighting King George of Great Britain and these are no longer Colonies. Our enemy, our tyrannical rulers, are the Democrat and Republican Parties. The present Speaker of the House, the present Senate Majority leader, the majority of the House of Representatives and the Senate, the present President and Vice President of the United States are the enemies of the People.

The mass media (including but not limited to: The New York Times, The Washington Post, CNN, MSNBC, National Public Radio, and media such as Facebook and Twitter) are the enemies of the People. Why are these enemies when Amendment 1 states clearly that there is freedom of the Press? The Press has become the mouthpiece of the far-left. Newspapers no longer print truth but only what Government wants them print. Propaganda through media is not what America is about. When the Press only prints what Government wants, the nation no longer has a free Press. Only communist nations demand only Government controlled media.

It is painfully obvious that we are a nation under attack. We must man the battle stations, prepare for war. The war has already started, though. It started decades ago when Government became more powerful than the Founders intended.

The Constitution of the United States of America; Article One; Section Eight:

The Congress shall have Power to lay and collect Taxes, Duties, Imposts and Excises, to pay the Debts and provide for the common Defence and general Welfare of the United States but all Duties, Imposts and Excises shall be uniform throughout the United States;

To borrow Money on the credit of the United States;

To regulate Commerce with foreign Nations, and among the several States, and with the Indian Tribes;

To establish an uniform Rule of Naturalization, and uniform Laws on the subject of Bankruptcies throughout the Untied States;

To coin Money, regulate the Value thereof, and of foreign Coin, and fix the Standard of Weights and Measures;

To provide for the Punishment of counterfeiting the Securities and current Coin of the United States;

To establish Post Offices and post Roads;

To promote the Progress of Science and useful Arts, by securing for limited Times to Authors and Inventors the exclusive Right to their respective Writing and Discoveries;

To constitute Tribunals inferior to the supreme Court;

To define and punish Piracies and Felonies committed on the high Seas, and Offences against the Law of Nations;

To declare War, grant letters of Marque and Reprisal. And make Rules concerning Captures on Land and Water;

To raise and support Armies, but no Appropriation of Money to that Use shall be for a longer Term than two Years;

To provide and maintain a Navy;

To make Rules for the Government and Regulation of the land and naval Forces;

To provide for calling forth the Militia to execute the Laws of the Union, suppress insurrections and repel invasions;

To provide for organizing, arming, and disciplining, the Militia, and for governing such Part of them as may be employed in the Service of the United States, reserving to the States

Respectively, the Appointment of the Officers, and the Authority of training the Militia according to the discipline prescribed by Congress;

To exercise exclusive Legislation in all Cases whatsoever, over such District (not exceeding ten Miles square) as may, by Cession of particular States, and the Acceptance of Congress, become the Seat of the Government of the United States, and to exercise like Authority over all Places purchased by the Consent of the Legislature of the State in which the Same shall be, for the Erection of Forts, Magazines, Arsenals, dock-Yards, and other needful Buildings; -- And

To make all Laws which shall be necessary and proper for carrying into Execution the foregoing Powers, and all other Powers vested by the Constitution in the Government of the United States, or in any Department or Office thereof.

These are the enumerated powers of the Federal Government. The Tenth Amendment says:

The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.

We, the People, and the several States, have abdicated most of our power to the Federal Government. How, you ask? By allowing the Federal Government to continually take more and more power away from us. We vote in the same power-hungry career politicians cycle after cycle. Some of the representatives in Congress have been there thirty, forty, or even fifty years. They are so far removed from normal, everyday life that they have no idea how their legislation affects the American People. They just legislate to gain more and more power and wealth for themselves with no regard for their constituents.

Article Four; Section Four:

The United States shall guarantee to every State in this Union a Republican Form of Government, and shall protect each of them against Invasion; and on Application of the Legislature, or of the Executive (when the Legislature cannot be convened) against domestic Violence.


Article Six; paragraphs two and three:

This Constitution, and the Laws of the United States which shall be made in Pursuance thereof; and all Treaties made or which shall be made, under the Authority of the United States, shall be the supreme Law of the Land; and the Judges in every State shall be bound thereby, any Thing in the Constitution or Laws of any State to the Contrary notwithstanding.

The Senators and Representatives before mentioned, and the Members of the several State Legislatures, and all executive and judicial Officers, both of the United States and of the several States, shall be bound by Oath or Affirmation to support the Constitution; but no religious Test shall ever be required as a Qualification to any Office or public Trust under the United States.

As you can see, the Federal Government has usurped its power and has become a tyrannical dominion over the people; gross overreach with no repercussions. In effect, the representatives that we keep voting into office have become untouchable. In some cases, such as House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Senate Majority Leader Charles Schumer, they have become so powerful and wealthy that their re-election is almost guaranteed.

In States such as California, with their election laws and the gerrymandering of districts, it is almost an impossibility for any conservative to ever win an election. With HR1 2021 this corrupt form of voting would be nationwide thus eliminating any chance for a conservative to ever win the White House again. What do I mean by corrupt form of voting? To start with there would be no voter ID for absentee ballots, mail-in ballots would become the norm with no voter ID, illegal aliens would be able to vote, dead people would vote, some people would vote more than once; and this is only the beginning.

With the Democrat Party’s win of the White House, the House of Representatives and the 50/50 split of the Senate, there is nothing to stop the Democrats from transforming our Constitutional Republic into the Socialist State they desire so much. Complete Government control over every aspect of our lives.

Yes, we are a nation under attack!

Abraham Lincoln stated: “America will never be destroyed from the outside. If we falter and lose our freedoms, it will be because we destroyed ourselves.”

We are destroying ourselves by allowing a rogue Party to remain in power. President Joe Biden, in his first week in office, signed almost 40 Executive Orders; most of which gave more power to the Government, took more liberties from the people, and weakened our National Security by empowering China and giving the Chinese more access to American infrastructure.

With the COVID-19 pandemic stimulus packages, Congress gave away, wasted, trillions of taxpayer money by giving it to foreign nations while giving less than a trillion dollars back to the American taxpayer. Democrat-run states and cities have effectively destroyed the economy with closing small businesses while allowing large corporations to remain open. Those same states and cities won’t allow the people to worship in Church, gather peacefully for any occasion (even within the family home), or let children go to school in person; and the Government will not allow the coronavirus to be called the Wuhan Flu, China virus, or even say that the virus started in China.

Because a handful of anti-government radicals breached the Capitol Building in Washington, DC. during, and after, a rally by President Donald Trump, Facebook and Twitter deleted the President’s accounts, permanently. This deprived the Commander-In-Chief, the most powerful man in the world, of his Constitutionally guaranteed right of free speech. Why did they do this? They deleted him because he called for his crowd of half a million Americans to walk to the Capitol and PEACEFULLY protest and let their voices be heard. Congress decided that, because he said that, he incited the riot and breaching of the Capitol while Congress was in session certifying the Electoral count. A count that was fraudulently gained.

We are under attack. We are destroying ourselves from within. A house divided will soon fall and this country is divided. The Democrat Party demands compliance to their ideology. Conservative voices are being silenced daily. Radical left-wing members of Congress are demanding the resignation of all conservatives that supported President Trump or asked to investigate allegations of voter fraud and corruption.

The Defense Readiness Condition system was set up for a nuclear attack. Since WWII, there has been no nuclear weapon used in war. With almost every industrialized nation having nuclear weapons in their arsenal, it is unlikely that any would be used. As for emerging nations, such as North Korea and Iran, working on obtaining nuclear warheads for long-range missiles, it is more likely they would use them to attack the Western Nations, especially the United States. I do not use the DEFCON system for this reason. I use it as a reference to how close we, as a nation, are to civil war once again.

Lincoln’s Gettysburg Address, although only 87 years after the formation of our new nation, sounds true today.

Four score and seven years ago, our fathers brought forth upon this continent, a new nation, conceived in Liberty, and dedicated to the proposition that all men are created equal.

Now we are engaged in a great civil war, testing whether that nation, or any nation so conceived, and so dedicated, can long endure. We are met on a great battle field of that war. We have come to dedicate a portion of that battle field, as a final resting place for those who here gave their lives that that nation might live. It is altogether fitting and proper that we should do this.

But, in a larger sense, we can not dedicate, we cannot consecrate, we cannot hallow, this ground. The brave men, living and dead, who struggled here, have consecrated it, far above our poor power to add or detract. The world will little note, nor long remember what we say here; while it can never forget what they did here.

It is for us, the living, rather, to be dedicated here to the unfinished work which they who fought here have thus far so nobly advanced. It is rather for us to be here dedicated to the great task remaining before us – that from these honored dead we take increased devotion to that cause for which they gave the last full measure of devotion – that we here highly resolve that these dead shall not have died in vain – that this nation, under God, shall have a new bieth of freedom 00 and the government of the people, by the people, for the people, shall not perish from the earth.

During the election cycle of 2020, several states changed their election laws. Not through the Constitutional process of the legislatures of those states but through using the court system, by Secretaries of State, and even by the Governors. Voter ID was ignored, cleaning up of voter rolls was not allowed, ballots were sent to people that did not request them and to addresses where the people no longer lived. Drop boxes were used thus eliminating a chain of possession.

Courts, both state and district, Congress, even the Supreme Court ignored the will of the people and wouldn’t even look at the cases brought before them concerning voter fraud, corruption, and unconstitutionality.

President Donald J Trump received eleven million more votes in the 2020 election than he did in the 2016 election; received more votes from minorities than any other conservative candidate in history; and won Florida, Ohio, and Iowa. No other President achieved this without winning the election.

Now President Joe Biden, who remained in his basement throughout the campaign; twice dropped out of the primaries due to lack of support; all but dropped out of the 2020 race due to lack of support until he won the South Carolina primary; and lost minority votes supposedly won eighty million votes? More than Barack Obama? More than Hillary Clinton?

Kamala Harris, who dropped out of the primaries due to total lack of support, was chosen as Vice Presidential candidate. A woman who entered politics through nefarious means by having an affair with a powerful California politician. A woman who, during the debates, called Joe Biden a pedophile and woman abuser and accused him of having dementia, was called upon to run with that same man. Why? Kamala Harris is a woman of color. Mixed breed of immigrant parents, that is why.

With approximately 135 million registered voters in the country the numbers just don’t add up. President Trump received between 74 and 75 million votes while the Biden/Harris team reportedly received around 80 million. Even if you round down the votes for Trump, that adds up to 150 million votes; 20 million more than registered voters. Do you understand how the Democrat Party is destroying our Constitutional Republic? Especially when vote counting was stopped in the middle of the night in several strong Democrat cities and during that recess thousands of ballots appeared; all for Joe Biden and some with only that one box checked. Fraud, corruption, a stolen election.

We are under attack from within by the Democrat Party. A Party sworn to destroy conservative speech, thought, and ideology. A Party sworn to complete Government control over the people. This Party is reminiscent of the Communist Party that the United States, and every freedom loving country around the world, has fought against for decades. The Democrat Party has now become the American Communist Party. You swear fealty to the Party or you are an enemy of the State.

For four years plus the left has been screaming for the impeachment of Donald Trump. On April 17, 2015, as soon as Trump announced his candidacy for President, Politico printed an article stating that the impeachment had begun. Nineteen minutes after the inauguration of Donald Trump the Democrats started screaming about impeaching him. As soon as the freshman Congressman Rashida Tlaib was sworn into office she yelled, “Now we impeach the motherfucker!”

For four years the mass media and the Democrat Party swore that there was Russian collusion and that was how Trump won the election. Millions of dollars, thousands of interviews, reams of reports and three investigations and the only thing that came out of it? The Clinton campaign and the DNC bought a false dossier from a foreign former spy who got shady info from the Russians.

Do you understand now how we are under attack as a free nation? Do you see how the ACP is destroying our Constitutional Republic and the very documents that are the foundation of our country, our freedoms? Do you understand now why the left wants to silence the right?

Andrew Wilkow, radio talk show host on SiriusXM Patriot channel, says it so well, “We are right. They are wrong.”

President Ronald Reagan once said, “It isn’t that our Democrat friends don’t know anything, it is that they know so much that isn’t right.”

It is now time, past time, to take back our country from career politicians. The Founding Fathers foresaw that our Government could possibly become so bloated, so powerful, and so corrupt as it is now. In fact, they did everything they could to ensure that the Federal Government stayed small and weak against the power of the States and the People. Our form of Government was, is, an experiment. No other country in the world had ever tried governance by, for, and of the People. Our rights and freedoms, granted to every man by the Creator, are guaranteed to not be infringed by the Constitution of the United States of America.

Freedom of speech, religion, press, to peaceable assemble, and to petition the Government. The Right to keep and bear Arms. To not have troops quartered in our homes. The Right to be secure in our persons, houses, and possessions and against unreasonable searches and seizures. We cannot be held for a capital crime without an indictment, or be compelled to testify against ourselves and are guaranteed due process. We have the right to a speedy trial by impartial jury, can face our accuser, and can obtain witnesses on our behalf. We cannot be tried twice for the same crime. There is no excessive bail, fines, or cruel and unusual punishment. The rights enumerated in the Constitution do not deny others. Most importantly: Powers not granted to the Federal Government are retained by the States and the People.

The DEFCON emergency system is used in regards to nuclear attack. We are not under that threat at this time. I use the DEFCON symbolism in regards to civil war. We are now at DEFCON 2! One more step before the country is engaged in another all-out war within itself. Prepare yourselves. The war has started, Patriots! The ACP started it over a year ago with the riots by Antifa and BLM. They started it with the fake impeachment of President Trump two years ago. They started it with the illegal and unconstitutional surveillance of CANDIDATE Trump and his associates. We are under attack! DEFON 2

I Pledge My Life, My Fortune, My Sacred Honour


“Four score and seven years ago, our fathers brought forth on this continent a new nation, conceived in liberty and dedicated to the proposition that all men were created equal. Now we are engaged in a great civil war, testing whether that nation, or any nation, so conceived and so dedicated can long endure.”

The Gettysburg Address; one of the most important speeches that Abraham Lincoln ever gave. Read that paragraph again. I mean really read it. Understand what the 18th President was saying. Lincoln, like many of our Commanders-in-Chief was fought on just about every policy he wanted put into legislation. The South, the Democrats, did not want to abolish slavery. Why, without those black workers the plantations would go bankrupt. Those people needed to be subjugated and enslaved to the privileged white plantation owners. After all, they were just n*****s, property, not even worth a decent thought.

Lincoln hated slavery, as did a lot of the Northern Republicans. In fact, the Founding Fathers weren’t that keen on slavery, either. Why did they own slaves then? A lot of them didn’t. The ones that did were just following the norm. The thought that the Founders did not believe that all men were created equal is just liberal propaganda today. The Founders were God-fearing, Christian men. The norms for 240 plus years ago would not be tolerated in today’s world. Just think, women took care of the house, the children, the cleaning, cooking, the mending; they weren’t allowed to vote, take care of business, most didn’t even have a voice in any decision-making at all.

Children were disciplined by the use of a switch from a willow tree, a belt pulled off a pair of trousers or a good backhand. They were not allowed to talk back, show any disrespect for their elders (whether those elders were related or not), forced to work alongside the men, and expected to follow the rules. If Father told them to do something, it wasn’t put off for a week, or a day, or an hour. It was done immediately.

Yes, things were different in Colonial times; they were different right up until almost the 21st Century. Yes, civil rights were important in the 1950s and 60s and segregation was done away with. Women’s suffrage was taken care of on June 4, 1919, when the 19th Amendment was passed with 2 votes over the required two-thirds majority. Children still respected their elders, families still sat down to eat together, common sense was still alive and well. Things were starting to change, though.

Women entered the workforce during WWII and became wage earners; their voices were becoming more important in decision-making when it came to the family finances. The sexual revolution of the 1960s brought about free love, promiscuous sex, and then, on Jan 22, 1973, the Supreme Court decided that Roe v Wade would become policy. Women could get a divorce whether the father wanted her to or not. Women were gaining more and more power in the world.

While the Confederation delegates were debating on a constitution for the new nation, there were a lot of arguments as to just how this new government should be set up. The delegates were divided on a lot of issues. One thing they all agreed upon was that the central government should be limited, regulated, controlled. Each man feared that an unchecked, centralized government would become a tyranny and overpower the people just as King George had done. A lot of them wanted a Bill of Rights added before the constitution was taken to the states to be ratified. The opponents to that stated if they did, it would be the government setting into law what should be put before the people. The Constitution of the United States was sent to the several States minus the Bill of Rights.

Each delegate wanted to make sure that the central government, the federal government, didn’t usurp the States powers. At one point, several of the delegates believed that the new country would go to civil war or become a monarchy if the new constitution wasn’t worded just right. As it turned out, the Constitution was ratified. James Wilson, a signatory on the Constitution and Declaration of Independence, also a Chief Justice of the Supreme Court, stated in a speech given on Oct 6, 1787, to the new Congress, “Regarding it then (regarding the new Constitution and government), in every point of view, with a candid and disinterested mind, I am bold to assert, that it is the best form of government which has ever been offered to the world.”

That was the government that the new nation adopted as their own; a government for and by the people. Then, less than a hundred years after that, it was eighty-seven years, we were in a civil war; brother against brother, American against American. Why? This war was not over slavery as has been taught over the years. It was fought because of State’s rights. The Southern States believed that the federal government was becoming too powerful and taking power from the states. Slavery was just something that Lincoln wanted to get rid of; needed to abolish before the war ended. That is why he worded his Gettysburg speech the way he did. “Testing whether this nation…could long endure.” We endured. We remained one nation, under God, indivisible; but at a huge price of blood.

Now, two hundred and forty-three years after we declared our freedom from a tyrannical dominion, now, a hundred and fifty-four years after the end of the Civil War, we are once again faced with the prospect of our Constitutional Republic failing. Can we endure? Are we able to once again beat back the oppressive and backward policies of socialism/communism that the Democrat Party is trying to force upon us? Will we persevere and keep the rights and privileges guaranteed to us by the most important document in world history since the Magna Carta? Or will we go peacefully into the night and fall to the will of those that abhor our freedoms?

Throughout our short history, it has always been the Democrats that wanted to keep power over people. First it was the blacks they wanted to keep in slavery, they wanted to keep segregation, they have wanted minorities to suffer so that they could give them a hand-out instead of a hand-up. Now, it is the Democrats that want to disarm the people, silence their opposition, enforce unconstitutional laws, tell us what we can eat, what we can earn, what we can save, where we can live. It has always been the Democrat Party that has legislated restrictive laws that go against the people’s freedoms. Usually in the name of safety; safety of children, the safety of motorists, safety people’s health. But what have they done, actually? Taken away our rights, little by little.

We are required by law to wear seat belts, for years we were forced to have health insurance whether we could afford it or not, children are forced into car seats until they are so tall, so old, so much weight; smokers are banned from public places; arguments between citizens are now fought in court, at huge expense; now, in California, it is illegal to use plastic straws. The 2020 Democrat candidates for President want to take from the rich and give to the illegals. The Constitution gives the federal government the power to collect and levy taxes for certain things. Government handouts are not on the list.

The Founders knew, beyond a shadow of doubt, that a large, unchecked, government would become corrupt. That is why they set up the checks and balances of a three-branch federal government that was restricted in its power. The States retained more power than the federal government. Over the course of our short history, the States have relinquished many of their rights and responsibilities to the federal government. With an ever-growing population, especially with an open-border policy such as the Democrats want, the government will keep growing bigger and bigger and more powerful and more restrictive on the people while less restrictive on it. The Democrats are charging full steam ahead for that ever more powerful centralized government. Just read through the Green New Deal.

The Green New Deal has nothing to do with climate. It doesn’t matter what we, as one nation, do to stop climate change. Unless the entire world stops using fossil fuels and polluting the rivers, lakes and oceans, the air will never be pristine. Climate changes. The Earth has had six Ice Ages and several global warming cycles. This planet takes care of itself and nothing humanity does will change the cycles. What the GND is all about is fundamental economic and societal change. It is Marxism in modern terms. It is totalitarianism. It is government taking full control over the private sector, doing away with private ownership, redistribution of wealth (and not from the rich to give to the poor; it will be taken from all the citizens and given to the government), and power to an elite few. Socialism is for the people, not the Socialist.

The Founding Fathers warned us 243 years ago. They tried to protect us with the greatest form of government ever created. They also told us that if we didn’t keep fighting for it, if we became complacent, if we let our guard down, we would lose our freedoms. That is where we are right now, today. Presumption of innocence has been done away with. Freedom of speech has been done away with. Freedom of the press is done away with. The right to keep and bear arms is being stripped away through regulation. We have become complacent.

Can we endure? Will we keep what the Founders fought and died for? They pledged their lives, their fortunes, and their sacred honor to give us these freedoms that we have taken for granted for so long. Are you willing to pledge anything to keep those freedoms?

Are We Still One Nation Conceived in Liberty? Meaning of the Gettysburg Address

Four score and seven years ago…. Well, maybe a little longer than that. It was on Nov 19, 1863 that Abraham Lincoln gave his famous speech, even though he said the world would not remember it, which is remembered and will be for a long time.
What is the point I am trying to make? Maybe, if you have read, or heard, the Gettysburg Address you would somehow come to the answer. Do you know what Abraham Lincoln said that day? Let’s remember that speech together. Here is the Bliss copy:

But, in a larger sense, we can not dedicate -- we can not consecrate -- we can not hallow -- this ground. The brave men, living and dead, who struggled here, have consecrated it, far above our poor power to add or detract. The world will little note, nor long remember what we say here, but it can never forget what they did here. It is for us the living, rather, to be dedicated here to the unfinished work which they who fought here have thus far so nobly advanced. It is rather for us to be here dedicated to the great task remaining before us -- that from these honored dead we take increased devotion to that cause for which they gave the last full measure of devotion -- that we here highly resolve that these dead shall not have died in vain -- that this nation, under God, shall have a new birth of freedom -- and that government of the people, by the people, for the people, shall not perish from the earth.”
What, exactly, is Lincoln saying here? Why was the Civil War even fought that the President of the United States of America should give such a speech? What happened because of the Lincoln Administration and his policies? First of all, you have to understand that, as far as I know, Abraham Lincoln was the first President to shred the Constitution. You see, the Civil War was not fought because of slavery. In fact, the North had just as many slaves as the South. No, the war was fought over States Rights. The right to secede in particular.
So, what does this speech actually mean? In it, Lincoln states that 87 years before, the Founding Fathers brought forth a new nation conceived in liberty and dedicated to the ideal that everyone is created equal. That is part of the Constitution now. Everyone has the same rights, privileges and freedoms. Funny that it was said over 143 years ago and today there are those that are still arguing about it.
The Civil War tested our nation. It tested our resolve to stay one nation and not divide ourselves. He further states that those that died for that cause, the ability to stay one great nation, were heros and the living were not worthy to even dedicate the ground those men died upon. Going further he said that we, the living, had to finish the work those brave men started so that they did not die in vain. We are one nation, under God and that the government is of, by, and for the people and that it should not perish.
So, what is the point of this? Let’s see, today we have the liberals that are doing everything they can to destroy the Republican Party and the Trump Administration. They seem to believe that Donald J. Trump, the current President of the United States, is out to destroy our country. How? According to the Democratic Party, Mr. Trump is going to bankrupt the nation, pollute our air and water to the point of not being able to use it, do away with all social programs that the liberals have set up to support able-bodied people that refuse to work, do away with programs set up to kill unborn children because said children have no rights and are an inconvenience to the mother, undo all legislation pertaining to equal rights for minorities (even though those rights are guaranteed by the Constitution), increase racism and downgrade women.
It seems to me that the Democratic Party, the liberals (or progressives as they like to call themselves) are trying to further divide this country than it is since the advent of the Obama Administration in 2008. All that this nation has gone through in the last 240 years, all the progress we have made in civil rights, freedoms for all, lessening racism, increasing coexistence with other nations, losing thousands of young men to several wars, several of which were not our own, etc. has been set back 50 years in the last eight. What those men died for on that battlefield at Gettysburg were in vain if the liberals, progressives, could have their way.
We are a divided nation. This time it isn’t the northern states against the southern. It is one political party against the other. It is neighbors against neighbors, and it has escalated exponentially over the last year. Why just over the last year? The only reason that I have been able to comprehend is that the Democratic Party needed their candidate, Hillary Rodham Clinton, to win the election so that she could finish the job that Barack Hussein Obama started. Since she did not win and Donald J Trump did, they are not happy.
Trump has started to fulfil all his campaign promises, which is unique for a political candidate. Most will promise the stars but only deliver mud. Trump started fulfilling his promises the day he was inaugurated. The thing the liberals don’t like is that his biggest promise was to undo as much of what Obama had done as he legally could. This is, in my humble opinion, the biggest reason the liberals are dividing our country as much as they can with violent protests, cries of ‘Not my President,” and the most ludicrous of all: “Impeach Trump!” That last one was being screamed by the liberals everywhere in the country, including the Congress.
Yeah. Those soldiers that fought to keep our country together died in vain. The men that fought against the English in 1776 died in vain. Our servicemen and women who have fought in two world wars, Korea, Vietnam, Iraq and now all over the Middle East have all fought and died in vain.
The Founding Fathers set up an experimental government, one that had never been tried before; a democratic republic where the people were the owners of government, not the other way around. It was a government that was of, by and for the people. Could this type of governing endure the test of time and survive throughout the centuries? They hoped so. The Continental Congress met in Philadelphia to debate what kind of Constitution should be written, what to put in it, what rights, freedoms, responsibilities should be guaranteed and set as the Law of the Land. It took months to get it down on parchment so that everyone would be happy, albeit with a lot of compromise. Some representatives wanted to keep the tyrannical rule they had just fought to overcome while others wanted too much free rein.
In the end, after much debate, those men had down by ‘iron pen’ the Law of the Land and the 13 colonies agreed to it, thus creating the greatest nation on Earth. Now, 240 years later, because of the differences between parties, this once great nation is divided again. Only this time there is no debates, no compromising. All we have is divisiveness, hatred, intolerance and a lack of moral code. Abraham Lincoln’s famous speech has become nothing more than a bunch of words that were spoken over 143 years ago and the liberals don’t think it applies anymore any more than they believe the Constitution is set in stone instead of a ‘living document meant to adhere to the political ideology of whatever time period it is.”

I, for one, believe that it is time to go back to our roots of a common goal. The common goals of one nation, under God, indivisible, dedicated to freedom and equality of every citizen that resides within our borders and call themselves American. The common goal of patriotism, pride in being American, respect for our flag and all it stands for, gratitude to the men and women who have fought for, and in more cases than should be, died for our freedoms. To once again be that nation that is conceived in liberty and dedicated to the proposition that all men are created equal. The common goal of a country that cannot be defeated by any enemy, foreign or domestic, respected and feared by all other nations. To be America.
